Door Garden Club Gears Up for Eventful Season

The Door Garden Club has a full agenda planned for the upcoming season that anyone interested in gardens and flowers will surely find enlightening and enjoyable!

Year round and returning seasonal residents will be welcomed back during a visit to Lucky Stars Flowerfarm in Ellison Bay when the tulips are expected to be at their peak, a luncheon at Thyme in Sister Bay, and a 'Door County Mentors' presentation by Charlotte Lukes at The Ridges in Baileys Harbor, all on Tuesday, May 21.

On June 18, Judi Ekholm, Door County's leading floral and landscape impressionist oil painter whose paintings are known to "inspire pure happiness" will delight with a 'show & tell' about her works at the Edgewood Orchard Galleries in Fish Creek.

The club is bringing flower shows back to Door County after many years when on Tuesday, July 23 it will host"Tables Class!", a show of ten tablescape entries at the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor. The one-day, one class flower show will include morning and afternoon floral design demonstrations by Nichole Campbell, owner of the Pedal Pusher flower shop in Green Bay.

The flower show is intended to be the new independent garden club's annual fundraiser to support grants for garden-related community projects and scholarships for local students majoring in horticulture, plant science, landscape design, forestry, and similar fields. The Door Garden Club is a the nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
